KLCS serves students, teachers and families in local and regional education communities by showcasing education success stories and “best practices” through our on-air/online KLCS NewsBriefs, the annual KLCS Video In the Classroom Awards, and our College Is Elementary/American Graduate project.
KLCS’ in-person education outreach projects connect low-income students and their teachers to fun, useful PBS KIDS learning resources.
KLCS is proud to be part of national initiatives like the Corporation for Public Broadcasting’s American Graduate project and the statewide California PBS LearningMedia portal for teachers.
KLCS is a community service of the Los Angeles Unified School District. Our signal reaches more than 16 million households and hundreds of schools in dozens of school districts throughout Southern California, including those in Los Angeles, Ventura and Orange Counties.
