takes on and debunks the myths that have arisen around the Mayan calendar and
2012, and shares some insights into what can actually be done today to create a
better future.
"The Mayans are getting more and more ticked
off by all of the people who are using 'The Mayans say that the world is going
to end in 2012' to rake in billions of dollars," said Dawn Engle, one of
the producers of this intriguing film.
"2012: The True Mayan Prophecy" includes
interviews with Nobel Peace Laureate and Maya Indian Rigoberta Menchú Tum,
Mayan Elders, leading scientists, and other Nobel Laureates including Desmond
Tutu and the Dalai Lama.
"The goal of the movie is to let the Maya speak for
themselves”, Engle said.
